CDJW 101 - June 22nd 2024

Our 101's are a great way to learn how CDJW handles itself on the trails.  Our club operates as one unit when while wheeling and knowing what to do situationally makes all the difference.  We aim to maximize safety and efficiency on the trail so that everyone can have a good time while staying face.

While this class isnt a replacement for experience, it is a good way to get started.  Been wheeling for a long time?  These classes are a good way to get to know your fellow members, and knock some of the winter dust off your wheeling skillset.

The class is broken up into two parts;

Part 1 : Class room (45 min to an hour)

In the classroom portino of our 101, we go over basic trail safety, 4 wheel drive systems, how to follow instructions, communications, basic safety, etc.

No one likes sitting in a "Class room" but we've worked hard to make this portion of the 101 as painless as possible :-)

Part 2 : 101 Off-road course @ Curtis Lumber (45 min to an hour)

Curtis lumber is a great supporter of the club, and they've allowed us access to their 101 course for our classes.  The course covers all the basics.  Theres inclines, declines, off camber turns, a bit of mud (sometimes), and a small rock garden.  The off-road course is a GREAT way to safely test yourself and your vehicle ESPECIALLY if you've never off-roaded before.
